    Rules

    The Combat Veterans Tuition Waiver is available to eligible Veteran students for Fall and Spring courses only.

    To receive the Combat Veterans Tuition Waiver, qualified veterans must be admitted to the college. The amount of the waiver is equivalent to the amount charged for tuition for the course pursuant to subsection 8/b (e) of Section 10a-105 of the General Statutes and will not be greater than the amount charged for in-state tution in the semester enrolled as described on the college website. Tuition waivers do nto apply to workforce certificate programs. he waiver will be reduced if you are using CH33 benefits under the Post 9/11 GI Bill, and cannot be combined with Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits at the 100% eligibility level. This calculation applies to all programs that are eligible for the CT Combat Veterans Tuition Waiver.

    Three Rivers can provide neither confirmation nor denial of the waiver if we have not received an application.

      Criteria
    • • Honorable discharge OR OTH (see requirement below)
    • • Active duty for a minimum of 90 days during a time of war (WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf) OR
    • • Served in designated combat support roles: Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, Kuwait (Earnest Will)
    • • Admitted to TRCC and enrolled in a course
    • • Live in Connecticut when admitted,
