Comments:

“Looking back upon my hire at what was then Mohegan Community College I am amazed at the epic changes that transpired – how the college became Three Rivers Community College, how we moved to a new site and grand building, and how our collective efforts transformed the lived of countless learners, despite the leanest of times. We did it!

I consider myself fortunate to have served for and alongside so many exemplary leaders and colleagues that contributed their life’s work to our students and to each other with a deep respect and remarkable dedication. I remember with gratitude each and every one of my dear colleagues.

I remain proud of my Human Resources and Payroll staff who without exception, went above and beyond in serving all members of the college community. As a team they made everyone’s life better but especially mine. I am eternally grateful for them for their competence and unselfish deeds.

Serving hundreds of students over my 30 years has been an honor beyond words. My students taught me more about courage, curiosity, and determination than any book or class. They are the essential heroes of my career.

I am humbled by this Emerita Award but must declare that it is a shared honor. I did not walk my Three Rivers path alone – I did it with all of you.
