A FIREBALL engulfed a 4×4 in Moscow today in a suspected car bombing.
The Land Cruiser Prado exploded in a Moscow suburb, where a second explosion was heard after the car was ablaze.
The vehicle belonged to belonged to a top Russian scientist working for the Stelmakh Polyus Research Institute, a major military-linked laser and quantum-electronics centre in Moscow.
However, the scientist remains unharmed as he is understood to be away on a business trip.
At first it was not known whether anyone was in the vehicle when it exploded but it was later confirmed that no one had been hurt.
Dramatic footage shows enormous flames around the car, followed by its burnt out remains.

The huge blast caused windows on the third and fourth floors of a nearby building to explode.
The unnamed scientist, suspected to be the target of the attack, had recently moved into the building, reports said.
Ukraine has previously claimed responsibility for bombings in Russia against military targets.
Russian law enforcement said that firefighters were sent to the scene at Raduzhny Street.
A resident said: “The fire has now been extinguished, and the door wasn’t opened — no one was pulled out.”
