EDP, through its subsidiary EDP Renováveis (EDPR), 71.3% owned by the group, signed two long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the Polish Energa Obrót for a portfolio of 322 MW, whose estimated annual production is 0.6 TWh.
The hybrid set is located in the Wielkopolska region and integrates two wind farms in operation, with 140 MW in total — whose previous tariff regimes are ending — and two new solar projects connected to the same cable infrastructure, with 182 MWac (240 MWdc) of capacity. Completion of construction is scheduled for 2026.
These agreements ensure long-term revenue for the assets involved and contribute to the expansion of EDP’s renewable generation in Poland, reinforcing the integration between wind and solar in the same location, which can optimize network use and reduce connectivity costs.
The operation is part of EDP’s strategy of growth with controlled risk through the development of competitive projects and long-term revenue visibility.
The information is communicated to the market a few hours after EDP Renováveis and Engie sold 20.25% of a wind farm in France to Allianz Global Investors for 200 million euros.
