Although it is not possible to attend the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, the Nobel Institute assures that the leader of the Venezuelan opposition “is safe” and will be in Oslo.
Previously, the director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute, Kristian Berg Harpviken, reported this morning that María Corina Machado will be represented at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony by her daughter, Ana Corina Sosa Machado.
“It will be the daughter who will give the speech that María Corina herself wrote”, declared Kristian Berg Harpviken, mentioning, during the morning of this Wednesday, that he did not know where María Corina Machado is currently located. “I just don’t know where she is exactly,” Harpviken told Norwegian radio NRK, explaining that few people know where and how she moves, due to the repressive nature of Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
The Venezuelan opponent’s sister, Clara Machado Parisca, told Colombian radio station Blu Radio on Tuesday that Corina Machado’s “desire” was to go to Oslo to receive the Nobel Prize, but she refused to guarantee her presence at the ceremony taking place in the Norwegian capital.
“Her wish is to be here and receive the award. That’s what I can say at the moment. I don’t know anything else,” he said at the time.
In Oslo, according to the EFE agency, there are the opponent’s mother, Corina Parisca, her sister and her daughter, Ana Corina Sosa, who will be accompanied at the ceremony by her two brothers.
