THIS is the moment a massive tornado rumbles along just yards from the shores of Brit holiday island Mallorca.
The twister formed a stormy bolt between the sky and the Mediterranean water – with locals saying it was the biggest they’d ever seen.
Footage captured by a gardener early on Friday morning shows a vast column of swirling cloud and spray near the village of Deià.
It can be seen slowly grinding towards the coast – as locals watched on in disbelief.
Martin, 53, has lived in the area for 20 years and knows the waters well through his work as a fisherman.
He told The Sun: “I’ve seen a few tornados around Mallorca, but this is the biggest. It was huge.

Deià is a picturesque and secluded spot, but has hosted some famous names over the years.
One of its cafes was a favourite hangout of Jimi Hendrix, and the British poet Robert Graves upped sticks to build a house there.
Martin explained that waterspouts like this form when there is a large temperature difference between the water and the air.
Mallorca was also hit by snow and hail on Friday as the first wave of wintry weather set in.
Combined with wind gusts of up to 55mph, islanders were feeling the chill.
Local authorities were forced to clear the roads of icy material with snowploughs mounted onto pickup trucks.
Fortunately for Mallorcans and any autumnal holidaymakers, the weather is set to improve from Sunday.
The frosty air is expected to warm right back up, and the island could be basking in temperatures up to 20 degrees by next week.
Mallorca was battered earlier this month by storms that wrought havoc across the Balearics and Barcelona.
The fire brigade shared images of a toppled pine tree which had collapsed on a building and was blocking the street.
