The Chinese Alibaba launched on the market two models of glasses that work with its own Artificial Intelligence (AI) model. These are now available for sale and compete directly with glasses developed by Meta.
Os Quark AI Glasses were announced in July and arrive with two models. The G1 costs 1,899 yuan (231 euros at current exchange rates), while the S1 costs 3,799 (463 euros). They will be initially available for sale in China.
The Hangzhou, China-based tech giant developed the device with built-in Qwen AI. This is the language model developed by the company (their own version of ChatGPT).
The lenses also function as screens and the glasses have an integrated camera. Other features involve instant translation, AI-generated meeting notes.
This technology rivals the AI glasses developed by Meta. Remember that the owner of Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp launched its model, in partnership with Ray-Ban, in September.
