Nursing Admissions Process Most nursing students begin as pre-nursing students by enrolling at Three Rivers in the General Studies: pre-nursing sequence. Students may apply as pre-nursing students at any time. For more information about the General Admissions policy and procedure please click here. Students seeking admission to the Connecticut Community Colleges Nursing Program (CCNP) must fulfill the nursing admission requirements as well as certain prerequisite courses in order qualify for this selective admission program. A complete list of admission requirements and prerequisite courses can be found on page 6 of the Nursing Information Packet. These criteria are in addition to the general admission policies of the College. Once students have completed the nursing admission requirements and prerequisite courses they can apply directly to the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program via a special application process. Nursing Application Process The deadline has passed for the 2009/2010 nursing program. You must meet the admission requirements in order to apply to the nursing program. Applications for the 2010/2011 academic year became available on November 1, 2009. To obtain an application , you may e-mail, call or stop by Student Services. The deadline for completed nursing applications for the 2010/2011 academic year is February 1, 2010. Admission is selective and competitive. Therefore, applicants are reminded that meeting minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission into the nursing program. Accepted nursing students will be randomly placed into either the fall or spring semester. CSA*105 Winter Three Rivers is offering a section of CSA*105 during winter session. If you need this course to apply for the 2010/2011 nursing program, this is a great opportunity to get the course done in time for the February 1, 2010 deadline. Registration for continuing students begins November 12th and for transfer students on November 19th.
You may also notice a section of CHE*101 Introduction to Chemistry. This course does not meet nursing admission requirements.
