The fiery battle is brewing as 277 players vie for 73 available slots with 194 Indian players and 83 overseas players. The player bank comprises of 52 capped and 142 uncapped Indian players, who will go under the hammer for 50 slots, while 66 overseas capped players and 17 overseas uncapped players will look to fill the 23 available slots.

As Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), UP Warriorz (UPW) and Gujarat Giants (GG) look to acquire key players in their teams, 19 players have registered in the highest base-price bracket of Rs 50 lakh, 11 players in the Rs 40 lakh bracket, and 88 players in the Rs 30 lakh bracket.
All franchisees are gearing up for the WPL auction with differing wallet balances. UP Warriorz, looking to reset after a difficult campaign last year, will enter the auction ground with a commanding Rs 14.5 crore at their disposal, the largest budget this year. Gujarat Titans is set to be the second biggest bidder with Rs 9 crore balance, followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru with Rs 6.16 crore. Meanwhile, powerhouses Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals walk in with tighter balances of around Rs 5.7–5.75 crore and will need to be meticulous in targeting value picks rather than large spenders.

Renuka Singh Thakur
The fast bowler is set to be one of the highlights in the WPL 2026 auction as RCB has not retained her in the early opportunity. In 23 WPL matches, she has taken 13 wickets, according to her WPL profile. Renuka Singh is capped at Rs 40 lakh for WPL this year. She first made her T20I debut in 2021 against Australia in Canberra\n and ODI debut in February against New Zealand. She showcased a stunning performance in Birmingham, securing third position in the ICC T20I bowlers’ rankings. She also clinched the prestigious ICC Emerging Women’s Cricketer of the Year award. As per BCCI, Renuka Singh has played 27 ODI matches with 41 tickets and 54 matches with 58 wickets.
Deepti Sharma
The Indian all-rounder, Deepti Sharma is an off-spin bowler and is one of the leading bowlers in the WPL bowlers lineup. Having taken 27 wickets across 25 WPL matches in the past, she also has a great betting record with 507 runs on board. UP Warriorz signed Deepti Sharma for Rs 2.6 crore at the first-ever WPL Auction, making her the second-most expensive Indian player. In 2023, she was UPW’s second-highest wicket-taker with 9 wickets. Capped at Rs 50 lakh for WPL 2026 auction, she also adjudged the Player of the Tournament for her outstanding contributions with both bat and ball in the 2024 edition.

Sneh Rana
Sneh Rana, off-spin bowler, is one of the top Indian bowlers to steal the limelight in WPL 2026 auction as she has 12 wickets to her credit in 17 WPL matches. In WPL 2023, she led Gujarat Giants in Beth Mooney’s absence in the inaugural edition. In WPL 2025, she joined RCB as a replacement for Shreyanka Patil where she played 15 matches and scalped 19 wickets. Capped at Rs 30 lakh this year, Sneh Rana also has a spectacular wicket record in overall cricket with 23 wickets in 4 Test matches, 57 wickets in 44 ODIs and 24 wickets in 29 T20 matches.
Kranti Gaud
Capped at Rs 50 lakh for WPL 2026 auction, Kranti Gaud made her debut in the last WPL edition with 6 wickets in 8 matches. UP Warriorz bought her for Rs 10 lakhs. As a right-arm medium pacer, she swings the ball effectively and surprises batters with sharp bouncers, adding depth to UPW’s attack, her WPL profile says. She played a key role in Madhya Pradesh’s 2024 Senior Women’s One Day Cup victory, taking 17 wickets, including a match-winning 4/25 in the final against Bengal.

Sree Charani
Another young Indian bowler who made her debut in WPL 2025, Sree Charani is an all-rounder. During the WPL auction last year, bidding started with a base price of Rs 10 lakh, but the Delhi Capitals eventually picked up the uncapped Indian player for Rs 55 lakh by outbidding the Mumbai Indians. Sree Charani is known for her eft-arm orthodox spin bowling, but can contribute with the bat as well.
Sajana S
Sajana S has the best bowling average of 11.0 across 19 cricket matches as per the Tata WPL stats records. Being an all-rounder with 138 runs in 19 matches, she is expected to be a limelight in WPL 2026 auction. Sajana made an impressive mark at WPL 2024 for Mumbai Indians after being snapped up Rs 10 lakh, now capped at Rs 30 lakh. She had the second best batting strike rate of 158.18 in the tournament. She was also rewarded the Best Catch of the Season 2024 award for her outstanding catch against UP Warriorz.
Other key Indian bowlers in focus include Titas Sadhu, Saika Ishaque, Priya Mishra, Asha Sobhana, and Komalpreet Kaur. WPL 2026 auction is one of the most-awaited sports events of the year as franchisees gear up to bid for their favourite players.
