THE winner of a Miss Bumbum contest has hit out at people who dismiss her as stupid — just because of her big backside.
Kerolay Chaves, 24, has been the target of jibes online and in the street since her triumph in Brazil’s annual shapely rear contest.
The former shop assistant added that such comments began well before the beauty pageant — but had become more frequent since.
She said the judgment intensified and that people used the crown as a reason to question her abilities.
Kerolay, who represented Rio de Janeiro in the event, said: “I’m judged as dumb because of the size of my bum.”
The influencer, who has also worked as a mobile phone repair technician, added that she regularly heard comments doubting her intelligence when she was at work.

She said it often appeared that “my curves came before anything else” even when she performed her job as expected.
Kerolay said the contradiction continued online, adding: “The person who says ‘you’re perfect’ then tells me to be quiet because I don’t understand the subject.”
The Miss Bumbum contest involves 27 entrants, one from each state in Brazil.
The event was launched in 2011.
