If you want to get fitter and healthier in 2026, fitness coach Raj Ganpath shared four important tips to keep in mind.

Losing weight in 2026

Slow it down: Raj Ganpath suggests people to slow down their efforts and expectations while trying to lose weight. “The main reason why we are going around in circle is because we are in a rush. We are impatient and we want to get things done. We want to lose weight as quickly as possible. We want to get strong as fast as possible. But if you slow things down, you can bring things under your control and you will make fewer mistakes. You stay more focussed and as a result, you end up getting a lot more done,” the fitness trainer says in his Instagram video. He noted that the main reason people don’t make any progress is because they are always in a rush and impatient.
Get inspired the right way: Raj Ganpath says learn to get inspired in a right way to shed extra kilos. He advised not to get influenced by what you see on Instagram reels or other social media platforms, as it focuses on just the highlights. “Everything you see on social media is just a highlight reel. So getting influenced by that and trying to get the same thing done won’t work because you can’t do it consistently. At the same time, you will get irritated because someone else seems to be doing better than you also doesn’t make sense. You need to get inspired by what you see and learn to apply it in your life in a way that it matters to you,” he can be heard saying in the video.

-See the big picture: For most people, new year is just the first few months, he says, but the reality is it about 12 months, 365 days. Raj Ganpath advised people wanting to lose weight to spread their fitness goals over 12 months, which has 365 days, sufficient for weight loss. “Whatever your goals are, spread it throughout the year. “Let’s say you want to lose a few kilos, you are much better off losing one kilo in a month and doing that for the rest of the year than trying to get it done in the first couple of months. When you can slow things down like this, you are able to approach your goals with a lot more clarity and calm. And as a result, you’re a lot more effective,” he says. You are much better if you try and lose 1 kilo a month and try to get it done in a couple of months, he said.

-Say it’s okay and move on: You should learn to say it’s okay and move on, Raj Ganpath said in his video. “Because despite of your best efforts, something will always go wrong. You will mess up and things will not go as per your plan. When that happens, it is important to not linger and say its okay and move on to the next task so that you can make forward progess,” Raj says.
