Trump threatens Iran with “shooting them down” if they rearm, demands “disarming Hamas” and defends pardoning Netanyahu

US President Donald Trump received Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida on Monday for talks aimed at breaking the stalemate over the ceasefire in Gaza and addressing Israeli concerns about Iran and the Lebanese group Hezbollah.

The leaders met at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago beach club. There, in front of the large golden door, they attended to the press before climbing the entrance steps.

Donald Trump has stated that “the reconstruction of Gaza will begin soon” and that he hopes to reach the second phase of the plan for Gaza “very quickly”, as well as that he is doing everything possible to recover the body of the last hostage.

The US president has claimed that the US and Israel were “extremely victorious” in their attacks on Iran earlier this year and that they are “going to be torn apart” if the country increases its military capabilities.

“Now I hear that Iran is trying to rearm again, and if they’re doing that, we’re going to have to take them down again. We’re going to take them down, we’re going to completely destroy them,” Trump said.

US media previously reported that Netanyahu has been stepping up warnings about Iran’s ballistic missile program and could use talks with Trump to push for new strikes against Iran.

Donald Trump has explained that he had spoken with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, who told him that a pardon for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was “on the way.”

“He’s a wartime prime minister, a hero. How come a pardon isn’t granted? I talked to the president… he tells me it’s on the way,” Trump said.

Regarding the alleged attack by Ukraine on one of Putin’s residences, he indicated that he had been informed and that he “did not like it at all” and for that reason “he was very angry.”
