One person died and another was injured when a quad bike crashed at the entrance to Bemposta, in the municipality of Mogadouro, district of Bragança, this Sunday, November 30, a fire department source told Lusa.

“The accident resulted from a crash of a quad bike at the entrance to the village of Bemposta, which resulted in one death and one serious injury. The fatal victim is an 80-year-old man who underwent resuscitation maneuvers, ending up unable to resist his injuries and dying in the Basic Emergency Service [SUB] from the Mogadouro Health Center”, explained the commander of the Mogadouro Fire Department, Luís Azevedo.

The seriously injured person is a 47-year-old woman, who was transported by ambulance to Bragança Hospital.

The accident alert was given in the middle of the afternoon. There were four firefighters at the scene, supported by two ambulances, in addition to the immediate life support ambulance (SIV) from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), parked at the Mogadouro SUB.

The Mogadouro GNR took charge of the incident.
