Comedian Nuno Markl revealed that he had suffered a second stroke five days after the first, which set back the recovery he was making in hospital.

The revelation was made on the podcast ‘That doesn’t say’by Bruno Nogueira, on Monday, December 22nd. “It was one of the saddest days of my life. That morning, I had been walking, moving, practicing climbing stairs, and suddenly… I was anxious that day, that could have been it”, Markl began by saying, adding that the second stroke was “ischemic” and that made him go back on his recovery: “I didn’t go back to zero, but to minus 30.”

The comedian also said that his doctor says that “a scientific rarity” happened to him. “What normally happens is first ischemic and then hemorrhagic. Hemorrhagic and then ischemic is something that doesn’t make much sense in terms of science and it happened to me”, he revealed.

Nuno Markl already knows that he will spend Christmas in the hospital, as he said this Tuesday, December 23rd, in a special broadcast on Rádio Comercial, during which he said that a room will be made available to him in the private hospital where he is, after leaving Egas Moniz, so he can be with his family.

“I’m going to have a very atypical Christmas. My family comes here to the hospital and we’re going to have a little room there to have our Christmas Eve. Many thanks to the people at the hospital for this”, he said.
