This morning, December 18, the Government will carry out an assessment of the Mission Structure for the recovery of immigrant processes. The numbers were presented by Luís Goes Pinheiro, coordinator of this task force, which has been operating since September last year and ends on the 31st of this month.
This operation began with a Government investment of 39 million euros and generated 101 million in revenue paid in fees by immigrants. Thus, the profit was 62 million euros. This amount does not yet include family reunification processes, which began to be attended to in November.
Since September 2024, 763,509 total and 553,272 unique consultations have been provided. The majority were expressions of interest, with 407,003 consultations, 207,412 exchanges of cards from the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), 106,536 renewals of residence permits and 42,558 from the transition regime for expressions of interest.
