Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its first electric SUV- the e Vitara in India tomorrow. This electric SUV, which made its debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, comes with a long-range battery, flexible variant options and a modern, feature-rich cabin. The e-Vitara combines the classic Vitara design with modern EV technology, marking a key milestone in Maruti Suzuki’s move toward sustainable mobility and its entry into the fast-growing electric vehicle market.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Launch date and expected price

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is all set to go on sale in India on Tuesday, December 2. According to a report in Car Dekho, Maruti e Vitara is expected to be priced from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will take on the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, and the MG Windsor EV. It will support both AC and DC fast charging.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Battery, range and powertrain

Maruti Suzuki’s long-awaited electric SUV is finally set to make its official entry into the Indian market tomorrow. The vehicle has already been in active production for quite some time. The e Vitara is likely to be offered with two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The bigger battery pack is said to deliver up to 500 km of range.


Power output is expected to range between 142 and 172 bhp, with torque estimated at around 192.5 Nm, giving the EV SUV a lively yet practical performance for everyday driving. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Design and features

The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara’s design stands out with three-point matrix LED DRLs integrated into the headlights, muscular bumpers with piano-black accents, and blacked-out 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. A sculpted 3D body profile and matching three-point matrix tail lamps complete the exterior, keeping it closely aligned with the ICE Vitara’s styling.
Inside, the e-Vitara offers ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and sliding, reclining rear seats, along with seven airbags and other premium touches. Safety and tech features include Level-2 ADAS with autonomous functions, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, keyless entry, ride-by-wire controls, and ambient lighting.

The e-Vitara will feature a dual-screen layout comprising a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 10.1-inch digital driver display. It will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with an Infinity sound system for an upgraded audio experience. Additional highlights include a panoramic glass roof, a 10-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, and a PM2.5 cabin air filter.
