Luís Castro arrives accompanied by a technical committee made up of six members: assistants Vítor Severino and Pedro Mané, goalkeeping coach Daniel Correia, performance analyst Nuno Baptista and physical trainers Nuno Cerdeira and Roberto Júnior, known as Betinho.
With the exception of Betinho, a former Flamengo player and the only Brazilian on the technical team, all remaining members are Portuguese. João Brandão, who had worked with Luís Castro at Botafogo, is not part of the new structure at Grémio.
After leaving Portugal after leaving Vitória de Guimarães in 2019, Castro played for Shakhtar Donetsk, from Ukraine, Al Duhail, from Qatar before moving to Botafogo.
