Stock market open Black Friday: While the US stock markets are open for shortened hours today, November 28 for Black Friday, the day is unfolding under unusual circumstances as investors ease back in after Thanksgiving, a widespread outage at CME Group has halted trading across futures and options tied to equities, bonds, and commodities. The company said the halt stems from a cooling issue at a CyrusOne data center.

CME Group said, “BrokerTec EU markets are open and trading. All other CME Group markets remain halted due to a data center cooling issue at CyrusOne. We will provide updates as they are available,” as quoted by Stocktwits.
