OUT of the burning rubble of a devastated Gaza could rise a futuristic smart city with a glitzy riviera, if Trump’s bold $112 billion plan finds backing.
Dubbed “Project Sunrise”, the grandiose plan is to rebuild war-torn Gaza into an international destination featuring swanky hotels and beach resorts, high-speed rail and AI-optimised smart grid features.
Over 20 years, the small slice of the coveted Mediterranean coastline would be revolutionised into a bustling metropolis, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Drafted by first son-in-law Jared Kushner, US special envoy Steve Witkoff, and two top White House aides, Gaza is reimagined as a “smart city” with tech-driven governance and services.
Kushner and Witkoff were instrumental in securing the peace deal between the Israeli military and Hamas in October.
Investor countries are being courted with a 32-slide PowerPoint presentation which acknowledges the “profound” destruction in Gaza and details the four-stage vision to clear the rubble, rebuild the Strip, and take Gazans out of poverty.

“We believe what lies ahead is not just restoration — it’s a chance to develop a gateway of prosperity in the Middle East with state-of-the-art infrastructure, urban design, and technology,” the presentation reads.
The slideshow has been presented to wealthy Gulf countries – Turkey, Qatar and Egypt – the Wall Street Journal reported.
Unexploded bombs and Hamas tunnels would be cleared while temporary shelter and medical centres are provided to Gazan residents — though it doesn’t specify exactly where they would live during this reconstruction.
Permanent housing, medical facilities, schools and religious spaces would then begin before the construction of lavish beachfront properties and modern transportation hubs.
By the 10th year, 70 percent of Gaza’s coastline should be monetised, with the reported proposal estimating the Strip could generate over $55 billion in long-run investment returns.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US had a “lot of confidence” that donors would be found for the reconstruction effort.
“You are not going to convince anyone to invest money in Gaza if they believe another war is going to happen in two, three years,” he said.
The decimated city of Rafah would become “New Rafah” – described in the slides as Gaza’s seat of governance and home to more than 500,000 residents.
The proposal was developed in the last 45 days and could get underway within two months, if security conditions permit.
It’s not the first time the bombed-out Gaza strip has been imagined the as a capitalist paradise, complete with a tall gilded statue of Trump himself.
Trump unveiled his bizarre AI-generated vision for Gaza featuring casino hotels, giant golden statues of himself and futuristic skyscrapers earlier this year.
The video, posted to his TruthSocial, also features bearded dancing girls, Elon Musk dancing under cash falling from the skyand the US President standing next to a half-naked belly dancer in a bar.
Trump has schemed to revamp Gaza into “the Riviera of the Middle East” and previously shared AI pictures of his controversial plans for the enclave.
The jaw-dropping video shows his vision of bomb-blasted Gaza, where 48,000 are reported to have been killed, rebuilt as a glitzy holiday resort.
The new 30-second clip starts with Hamas fighters and children standing in a rubble-covered road before it poses the question: “Gaza 2025. What’s next?”
Netanyahu has also shared a detailed vision for Gaza.
Complete with surreal CGI imagery, the Israeli PM revealed a blueprint to redevelop Gaza into an idyllic urban and rural settlement.
War-torn Gaza would be transformed from a terrorism hotbed to a glistening gem in the Middle East landscape.
The proposal promised “US dominance” and to deliver Gaza “from crisis to prosperity” by rebuilding the enclave “from nothing”.
Ultra-modern mocked-up images show the strip as a Utopian region, rich in high-tech projects and direct connections to other countries.
