The Porta dos Fundos collective will once again be in Lisbon next December for a week of shows, conversations and exhibitions in the Portuguese capital. Between December 13th and 18th, the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB) and Cinema São Jorge host the Porta dos Fundos Festival, which brings together presentations already known to the public, special guests and sessions dedicated to the group’s famous Christmas specials. Tickets are now available for sale.

The program starts at CCB, on the 13th and 14th, with “Portátil”, improvisation piece that won over the Portuguese and which now returns with something new: the debut of Fábio Porchat in the cast, alongside Gregório Duvivier, João Vicente de Castro and Gustavo Miranda.

In São Jorge, from December 16th, the public will be able to follow the podcast “Não Importa” live, presented by Duvivier and João Vicente with appearances by Bruno Nogueira (16/12), Valter Hugo Mãe (17/12) and César Mourão (18/12).

The festival also marks the arrival on Portuguese stages of “Que História É Essa, Porchat?”, with sessions on the 16th and 17th. The format, in which Porchat conducts real and unpredictable stories, welcomes guests such as Joaquim de Almeida, Bumba na Fofinha, Gilmário Vemba, Fafá de Belém, Cândido Costa and Nuno Markl.

The Christmas humor that made Porta dos Fundos known internationally arrives on the screens of São Jorge with the showing of the sketches “Se Beber Não Ceie” (16/12) and “A Primeira Tentação de Cristo” (17/12), in addition to an unprecedented special shown on the 18th, followed by a conversation between Fábio Porchat and Ricardo Araújo Pereira.

Created in Rio de Janeiro in 2012, Porta dos Fundos has become one of the main references for humor in the Portuguese language, with a strong presence on YouTube, productions for streaming platforms and frequent tours in Portugal.

The relationship with the Portuguese public, built over a decade, as they themselves have already told in interviews with DN Brazil (Gregório Duvivier and João Vicente, in this reportand Fábio Porchat, here), now has a festival-style celebration.

The Porta dos Fundos Festival takes place on the 13th and 14th of December at the Centro Cultural de Belém and between the 16th and 18th of December at Cinema São Jorge, in Lisbon. Tickets are now available at official event websitewhere you can also consult the complete schedule.
