The tourist was climbing Huaying Mountain, in Guang’an, China, at the time of the incident.

Onlookers looked baffled at the scene of the horror fall and shrieked in shock before realising he was unharmed.

Local reports say he plunged the distance of around 50 feet (15 metres).

Fortunately, he later took to social media to confirm that he had a lucky escape and is alive and well.

Although he admitted in the moment on December 7, he thought he “was going to die”.

The man wrote on WeChat: “The mountain Gods blessed me. I’m so lucky. I fell from a 40m high cliff and rolled down the slope for nearly 15 metres.”

He added: “When the rocks collapsed, I thought I was going to die. It’s so good to be alive. So I’ll live well!”

Earlier today, a park spokesperson said they had not received any reports of a visitor falling from the cliff within the scenic area.

The tourist site where the accident allegedly took place, known as Blade Rock, is not within the boundaries of the scenic area.

They emphasised the area “is only allowed to be viewed from a distance and climbing is not permitted”.

Visitors were also reminded by the spokesperson to abide by the scenic area’s regulations while hiking, and not to enter closed or dangerous areas.

This comes as a mum tragically died plunging from the tenth floor of an apartment block, while holding her three-year-old twins.

The Spanish woman was instantly killed by the impact and her two children were rushed to hospital, where they remain in a critical condition.

The heartbreaking fall happened the day after the little family had celebrated the twins’ birthdays.

The 48-year-old plummeted at 9am on Saturday morning from an apartment building in the Ciudad Lineal neighbourhood of Madrid.

Only identified as Maria, the mum had bought presents for her children from a nearby shop just hours prior.

One of the twins has been admitted to Madrid’s 12 de October University Hospital, while the other is being treated at Hospital Infantil Nino Jesus – a children’s hospital.
