THIS is the terrifying moment a Russian “dragon” drone inflicted a reign of fire onto a Ukrainian road in kamikaze style attacks.
The drone targeted road net tunnels, lighting them ablaze as it spat out a steady stream of fire.
The fireballs were slow to start, at first stuttering out in individual balls.
Within seconds, the drone was unleashing havoc on the road net tunnel, with a consistent and targeted line of flames hitting the mesh covering.
The missile continued along the tunnel for some time, burning it to a crisp.
Road net tunnels, also known as “tunnels of life”, describe netting used to cover roads in conflict zones, to protect vehicles from first-person view drones.

Dragon drones are flesh-melting weapons powered by canisters of thermite — a mixture of aluminium and iron oxide developed over a century ago to weld railway tracks.
Thermite burns so fiercely it ignites anything it touches, is near-impossible to put out and stops burning only once the mixture runs out.
Because thermite is so searing, the drones can also be used to burn and destroy armoured vehicles and tanks.
The video is the latest addition to Putin’s rampage of attacks throughout its neighbouring country.
On Thursday, Putin denied plans to take the rest of Europe, dismissing suggestions that Moscow aims to push beyond Ukraine as “ridiculous.”
Despite these claims, Russia’s war machine continues to churn out missiles at what experts describe as an alarming rate.
Former British Army Officer Nicholas Drummond suggested the deployment dragon drones was mainly to incite fear.
He told CNN: “It is very nasty stuff. Using a drone to deliver it is quite innovative.
“But used in that way its effect will have been psychological more than physical,” he added.
This is not the first time the drones have been utilised in the war between Russia and Ukraine, with Kyiv deploying the menacing weapons to spew fire on Kremlin-held territories.
In September last year, a drone was seen floating above Kremlin-held territory, dropping down a flurry of flames and setting its targets ablaze.
Kyiv has been deploying the menacing weapon over tree lines and forests, spewing out scorching hot molten.
It spits out sparks containing thermite, a burning blend of iron oxide and aluminium that produces the 2,500-degree molten when ignited.
Outside of war, it’s used for jobs like railway works because it’s hot enough to burn through steel.
