HORROR footage shows the moment a pack of balloons at a bash exploded in a giant fireball – burning the birthday girl’s face.
Nozza Usmanova was surprised by friends with a delivery of hydrogen-filled inflatables and a cake when the candle touched one of them, causing a massive blast.
CCTV footage shows the young girl waiting by the entrance of a shop to receive her gifts.
Seconds after she greeted her relatives, a woman handed over a cake with cold-fire candles that Nozza quickly blew out.
But the hot tips still caused the balloons to ignite.
As the large flames engulfed nearly the doorway, the birthday girl and her guests rushed out of the building.
However, the fire lasted only a split second, and nobody was hurt.
Nozza said: “It happened so fast. I am unsure how I was able to escape that.”
Nearby staff then checked on all attendees, including a mother and her baby who were standing nearby.
Nozza added: “It’s a relief that nobody was hurt and there was no damage done.”
Hydrogen is a highly flammable gas often used in balloons for parties because it makes them float.
However, it can ignite easily if it comes into contact with sparks, flames, or candles, making it a potential fire hazard.
Last year, a mum tragically died after inhaling helium at her daughter’s first birthday party.
Faith Waterman Batistich had been breathing from helium-filled balloons to make her voice sound high-pitched when she made a fatal mistake.
The 20-year-old, from Te Puke, New Zealand, collapsed and was pronounced dead an hour later, despite desperate attempts by her family to revive her.
Paramedics then spent another 20 minutes resuscitating Faith, and gave her four shots of adrenaline in an attempt to restart her heart.
The mum-of-two was a week shy of celebrating her 21st birthday with her twin sister Eden.
In 2018, a birthday girl suffered horrific burns after being set on fire by hydrogen-filled party balloons.
Disturbing footage showed the inflatable decorations exploding after the young Indian woman lit the candles on her cake.
Photos show the injuries the girl – believed to be a teenager – suffered across her arms while much of her hair was lost after the fire.
