SHOCKING footage shows the moment a cab driver was put in a chokehold by a passenger during a ride on the streets of Dubai.

The clip, recorded by the car’s dashcam, shows the passenger groping the driver before violently assaulting him.

The passenger, who has not been named, moves from the back seat to the space directly behind the driver, said to be from Kenya.

He then starts inappropriately touching the driver before groping him.

The clip shows the passenger putting his hand around the driver’s chest.

When the driver resists, the passenger puts him in a chokehold while the taxi is still running.

The terrified driver can be heard screaming in fear as the attacker continues to choke him while he is driving.

Meanwhile, the passenger can ve hear shouting hateful slurs, before threatening to kill him.

The attacker says: “Shut the f*** up. You wanna f***ing die?”

Eventually, the driver manages to stop the car and get out.

The attacker quickly shifts to the driver’s seat as the video ends.

It is not clear whether he drove away in the taxi.

The incident happened in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, according to local reports.

Reports said the driver had moved to the Middle East two months earlier for better job opportunities.

The footage sparked online outrage, with social media users demanding strict action.

One person commented: “You can see the fear in his eyes, and knowing you are in a foreign country with no one on your side makes it too hard.”

Another user said: “This murderous regime wants Kenyans to suffer abroad.”

According to the driver’s family, he suffered injuries in the attack, and they said that he is paying for all medical expenses himself.

They also claimed his company was trying to force him to return to work.

They said they were seeking urgent intervention from Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The driver’s employer is also allegedly holding his passport to pressure him to resume duties.

Authorities in both Kenya and the UAE have not made public statements on the matter.

It is currently unclear if the local authorities are investigating the assault.
