THIS is the dramatic moment police rescued an unconscious man from the burning wreck of his car with seconds to spare – after his iPhone raised the alarm.

He was still out cold when his phone automatically pinged 911 using the “Call After Severe Crash” feature, which rings emergency services after a 20 second countdown, according to WABC.

Hero officers Yash Shroff and Thomas Sites raced to the scene and did not hesitate even as flames roared around the car.

They smashed the driver’s side window and hauled Islam to safety.

South Brunswick police said: “This is a miracle by every aspect of the word miracle,

“And the officers’ actions are heroic. As you can see in the video, it’s pretty dramatic, how the flames are leaping at their feet as they’re pulling him out.”

“Within seconds, that scene turns… to a fully engulfed car fire.”

Cops added: “This is a miracle – a Thanksgiving miracle, I call it,”

The horror crash happened on Nov. 9, but Islam is now back home with his family after surgery on his back and neck.

His grateful dad, Naushad, penned a heartfelt letter to the two officers who saved his son.

He told NBC New York: “I couldn’t say anything other than thank you.

“What else can I say? For them, it’s probably the work they do every day to save everybody’s life.

“But for me, it’s getting back my son to my family, so I can’t thank them enough.”

Speaking on his son’s condition, Nassau added: “He’s doing well, he’s talking.

“When he was in the hospital, we weren’t sure how he was doing. It was really, really bad.

“He’s doing much better. I would say that compared to what he went through, it’s nothing but divine intervention.”

It comes after two New Jersey cops rescued a trapped driver from his car stuck on train tracks just moments before it is obliterated.

Devin Hinchcliffe and John Ward pulled the heroic stunt after the “impaired” driver was left in a life-or-death situation in May.

Dramatic footage shows the two cops rushing towards the car which is stationary on the tracks.

As the two gates on either side of the car start to close down, the trio face the prospect of being struck by an oncoming train.

In a rush, they manage to pull the driver out of the front seat.
