HAUNTING new footage shows an enhanced image of the suspected Brown University killer as the bungled manhunt for the mystery fugitive continues.
The CCTV footage released by cops shows the suspected attacker dressed in dark colours walking near the university.
The footage was captured just two hours before the attacker unloaded a hail of bullets inside the economics classroom.
Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez said the clip shows the person “casing out” the area before the crime.
He also asked the public to check for anything familiar in the footage – including the way the the man walked and any other important features.
He said: “Our offices, our agents are looking at terabytes of data and we’re looking for a moment that is shorter than somebody taking a breath.”

The FBI shared a similar compilation of video footage, much of it from home security cameras near the campus.
These images showed a man walking, loitering and sometimes running along the street, both before and after the shooting.
In some parts of the footage, the man was carrying a satchel. But in others, he was not.
Brett Smiley, the mayor of Providence, said there is no specific threat to the public despite the fact that the shooter remains on the loose as of Wednesday morning.
The update comes after authorities took a man into custody on Sunday, but later released him.
State and federal authorities are now back to square one in their effort to track down the suspect.
Social media platforms have since been filled questions about why officials are telling people they’re safe.
In a post on Redditone user who recently moved from Providence to East Providence said: “So … let me get this straight. A guy just shoots 11 people in one of the tiniest, most walkable cities in the country … 400 cops and the FBI … No alerts.
“People in walking distance of the shooting straight up not knowing anything’s wrong for like two hours. … They don’t catch the guy.
“Then they just have the audacity to say ‘you should feel safe sending your kids to school, we don’t believe there will be more targets’ when they literally know nothing at all after a guy, once again, shot 11 people in the middle of town and walked away.”
The horrific shooting occurred on Saturday afternoon near the conclusion of an economics class in the Barus & Holley engineering and physics building on the campus in Providence, Rhode Island.
Students at the Ivy League school had been preparing for final exams and the upcoming winter break.
Around 60 students were in a lecture theater when the shooter burst in and opened fire at around 4 pm.
Some students fled the hall, while others dived for shelter under chairs and shielded behind desks.
Among the two people killed was sophomore student Ella Cook, 19.
Cook, from Alabama, was the vice president of the school’s Republican club. She had attended the Ivy League university since 2024.
The other victim killed was identified as MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, a first-year student from Uzbekistan.
Nine people were injured in the shooting. Kendall Turner, a Durham Academy graduate, is critically injured.
Vigils have since been held at the university, as family and friends mourn the victims.
The special FBI agent in charge of the investigation vowed to redouble the efforts to locate the suspect during a press conference on Monday afternoon.
“We have a murderer out there,” Peter Neronha, the Rhode Island Attorney General, said.
The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
