Pralay missile capabilities
Pralay is an indigenously developed solid-propellant quasi-ballistic missile featuring advanced guidance and navigation systems to ensure high precision. The missile is capable of carrying multiple types of warheads and striking various targets.
Development and collaboration
The missile was developed by DRDO’s Research Centre Imarat, Hyderabad, in collaboration with multiple laboratories, including the Defence Research and Development Laboratory, Advanced Systems Laboratory, Armament Research and Development Establishment, High Energy Materials Research Laboratory, Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory, Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory, Research & Development Establishment (Engineers), and the Integrated Test Range. Development-cum-production partners Bharat Dynamics Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited integrated the systems for the tests, with additional support from Indian industries.
Officials and industry witness tests
The salvo launch was witnessed by senior DRDO scientists, representatives from the Indian Air Force and Indian Army, and industry partners involved in production and development.
