Teresa Lampreia was a young woman in her early 20s in the 1990s when her father, diplomat Luís Felipe Lampreia, took over as Brazilian ambassador to Portugal. It was at that time that he began studying communication at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, entering the world of cinema and audiovisual, from which he never left.
“I completed the course in 1995, 30 years ago this year. Wow, I have goosebumps”, he says during the interview with DN Brazilwhen realizing the date. “I return 30 years later, to launch a book, already at a new beginning in my life”complete.
The book ‘We are Made of Stories’ will be launched this Tuesday, December 2nd, at the Martins bookstore, in the Time Out market, in Lisbon, at 6pm, in an event that Teresa considers “a blessing”. It was in Portugal “that my intellectual formation began”, he says.

The book covers fundamental elements about social impact entertainment industryan aspect with which Teresa had her first contacts after the success of the soap opera O Clone, one of the works she directed on TV Globo. “The Clone had three major social impact issues. We won an award from the United States FBI, and the FDA, for the chemical dependency campaign. The issue of core, of science, of human cloning. And this big soft power the dissemination of Muslim culture”, recalls the director.
“Globo was a very big school, for 25 years, I am very grateful. And there were many stories with Manuel Carlos too, who always dealt with very important subjects, such as physical disabilities, but I hadn’t yet understood social impact entertainment as an industry”, he confesses.
It was only when he left the network, in 2019, with a move to Los Angeles, that the key turned. “I understood social impact entertainment there as an industry, as networking. Like colleges, USC, CLA, they have an area just for entertainment, social change. I have a friend who has an Oscar for people with disabilities. I saw producers that only make social impact entertainment. And when I go back to Brazil, I understand that people think it’s charity, that it’s not an industry. And then, I felt this pain and this need to write the book to give knowledge and generate change, right? I’ve been writing the book for two years. book. And now, I have the honor of having this launch in Lisbon, blessed by the stars and destiny”.
