Anyone served on the first floor of the Consulate General of Brazil in Lisbon will see a colorful painting representing Brazil. This is the work of art “Faith, color and revelry”created by Brazilian Marcella Bisetto and donated to the consulate this week.

“The work is a tribute to the Brazilian people who live outside the country, but do not lose their identity, and also to all the workers at the Consulate, who daily build the living bridge between Brazil and Portugal”, highlights the immigrant to DN Brazil.

Marcella delivered the canvas personally to Ambassador Alessandro Candeas, Consul General of Brazil in Lisbon. “I hope it brings color and joy to everyone who passes by,” he says. “It was a beautiful gift for the Consulate,” Ambassador Candeas told the newspaper.

The artist explains the drawing: “In this canvas, Brazil reveals itself in movement and emotion: the woman with closed eyes smiles with her soul, wrapped in colors that dance like Bahian skirts. In the background, the church keeps the syncretism of our faith: Catholic, Afro, Orixá and saint, all in harmony. On the street, drums and flowers announce the festivities. Here is the heart of my people: devout, festive, vibrant… a country that sings, prays and embraces itself in every corner.” Marcella Bisetto is a lawyer, digital artist and Brazilian writer based in Portugal since January 2025.
