But a new court specialising in homicide has intervened to scrutinise the suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

The lifeless body of the influencer was found at the home of a prominent Sao Paolo lawyer on November 2.

Jankavski’s family have since campaigned to re-open the case and are prepared to sanction her exhumation so that a second autopsy can take place.

The influencer, known to her 57,000 Instagram fans as Boneca Desumana, meaning “Inhuman Doll”, was discovered dead in just her underwear.

She had blown around £42,000 on surgeries to mould herself into the plastic icon she worshipped.

Brazilian prosecutors and lawyers for her family now suspect foul play.

They claim Barbara may have been attacked, pointing to marks on her neck, legs and around an eye.

Early police notes concluded the injuries were the result of a fall.

The homeowner, 51-year-old lawyer Renato de Vitto, told cops he hired her for sex and that they both took drugs before she fell asleep beside him.

He claims he tried to revive her for nine minutes before calling an ambulance.

Two other people in the property that day have also been quizzed.

One, a female friend of the lawyer, claimed that Barbara injured herself during an early-hours tumble.

Barbara’s parents claim forensic teams failed to test the three people present and never scraped under Barbara’s fingernails for DNA.

They want to determine whether their daughter was “punched or strangled” before her death.

Phones belonging to everyone in the house were also never analysed.

Barbara had already undergone 27 surgeries including liposuction, an eyebrow lift, rhinoplasty and silicone injections in her bottom.

She documented every step of her dramatic transformation, even posting a throwback photo showing how she once looked before chasing her doll-like dream.

She had appeared on TV and in ad campaigns and once posed for promo shots with fellow Brazilian Mauricio Galdio, the self-styled Human Ken Doll who famously had two ribs removed at just 29.

During Covid she boasted of having five more procedures, including one that left her eyes blackened and bloodshot.

She brushed it off at the time, telling fans her scars were “almost invisible”.

Tributes have flooded social media since the influencer’s death.

Instagram follower Naty Silveira wrote: “I can’t believe it. I loved you so much. Rest in peace.”

Another added: “I hope God receives you with open arms. You lived a little bit of the life you loved.”
