At least two people have died and six more were injured after a shooting outside a church in Salt Lake Cityaccording to various local media reports.

The authorities reported that eight people were shot around 7:30 p.m. local time (02:30 GMT Thursday) while a funeral service was being held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Utah state capital.

Witnesses in the area who heard the shots described the experience as “pretty scary” and said they were relieved that it did not happen inside the church, according to the local television channel. TO TV.
