GuestReady intensified its presence in the Azores by joining 2RC Azores Housing, now managing 80 more properties on the island of São Miguel.
The operation follows the partnership already consolidated with Azores Casa, in June, and is part of the local accommodation manager’s expansion strategy in the archipelago.
With this acquisition, the company claims to be close to meeting the goal of having 200 units managed in the Azores within a 12-month horizon — adding the 80 units now acquired to the 60 integrated in June.
Rui Silva, general director of GuestReady in Portugal, says that, with this deal, the company reinforces “the commitment made to reach 200 units under our management in the Azores within 12 months”.
The integration also had an impact on the local team, as the number of employees dedicated to the Azores increased to 15.
Regarding human resources management, Rui Silva explains that the option was, once again, “to integrate 2RC Azores Housing workers into our staff, with the purpose of not only ensuring a smooth transition for them, but also guaranteeing the best possible service to customers”.
In addition to the numerical reinforcement of the portfolio, GuestReady highlights its intention to maintain an operation with a regional flavor, working with local actors to preserve the authenticity of the destination. “We want to work with local actors, maintaining the authenticity that makes the Azores such a rich and strong destination in terms of tourism. For us, valuing the region and its people is essential”, says Rui Silva.
Since entering the Portuguese market in 2018, GuestReady has already integrated several national companies — including Oporto City Flats, The Porto Concierge, AYS Madeira and Azores Casa — and claims to currently manage more than two thousand properties globally.
