THIS is the shocking moment a prop boulder careens off course and hurtles towards the audience at Disney World – only for a heroic staffer to leap into its path.
The heart-stopping moment happened during the popular Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show at Disney’s Florida studios.
Dramatic footage shared across social media shows the terrifying boulder emerge from a cloud of smoke before deviating off a rocky ledge and speeding towards a petrified audience.
A brave staff member immediately recognises the danger and fearlessly throws himself in front of the fast-moving object.
The boulder is ricocheted out of harm’s way as the man takes a heavy tumble, before people rush to his aid.
Audience members were quick to share clips of the startling moment across Instagram and TikTok.
COASTER TERROR

One took to Reddit to give an update on the heroic staffer, writing: “The cast member was able to walk but was bleeding on the head.”
The mishap is not the first of its kind at this particular show.
A hair-raising clip that went viral last January showed the stuntman playing Indiana Jones get crushed by the giant boulder.
Footage showed the doors malfunction before the visibly confused actor takes flight.
People were left gasping as the performer appeared unable to outrun the prop as it steamed towards him.
The actor raised an arm in a vain attempt to stop the boulder before it ran him over.
Cast members rushed to the scene of the “accident” before the incident was revealed to be part of the act.
The stuntman escaped through a trap door in the highly-polished routine, but one audience member pointed out the mistake on TikTok.
They wrote: “This is the first time I’ve seen this show go wrong.
“The giant boulder is supposed to come out right after the doors open, but fails on the first take.
“You can see the actor’s confusion.”
The 30-minute show features iconic characters Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood as they re-enact daring stunts with explosive special effects from the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark.
While incidents at major theme parks like this are unusual, they can have serious consequences.
Last year, at least 14 people were injured following a tram crash at Universal Studios in California.
Fire crews charged to the famous Hollywood theme park after the Studio Tour ride crashed into a railing.
Investigators suspect the crash was caused by brake issues on the tram, as reported by the CBS affiliate KCAL-TV.
One of the tram cars crashed into a railing, Maria Abal, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, said.
Footage showed one person being taken from the scene on a stretcher.
Medics were seen treating people at the scene, per footage shared by KCAL.
More than 100 people can go on the tram at one time, but it’s unknown how many were on board at the crash.
It remains unknown if the tram was being used for a tour when the accident happened.
