A FAMILY of four has gone missing after the tourist boat they were travelling on sank in rough seas due to massive 10ft waves.
The vessel was carrying 11 people when it sank in the Padar Island Strait near the popular destination of Labuan Bajo in Indonesia.


Seven people, including two Spanish tourists, four crew members and a tour guide, were rescued.
But a search for the remaining four people – understood to be a family – was continuing on Saturday.
Footage released by the National Search and Rescue Agency showed emergency workers in blue uniforms helping people, some barefoot, out of an inflatable orange boat and onto shore.
Other footage showed people in lifejackets sitting on a rescue boat, and a similar vessel kicking up spray as it motored across the waves in the dark.
Authorities have closed Padar Island to tourists due to extreme weather conditions.
Marine accidents occur regularly in Indonesia, often due to lax safety standards and bad weather.
It comes just days after another tourist boat packed with holidaymakers sank off the coast of a British holiday hotspot.
Footage showed the half-submerged ferry listing as a rescue boat rushed to evacuate passengers and crew.
The boat was carrying 92 holidaymakers near Thailand when it was struck by large waves – causing it to sink.
The impact reportedly fractured the hull, sending water rushing into the boat.
Meanwhile, terrifying footage emerged showing a tourist ferry filling with water, sending Brits scrambling to safety.
The boat was packed with 120 tourists when it reportedly struck a rock and capsized on its way to the historic city of Luang Prabang in Laos.
And a day trip catamaran sank in the Caribbean – leaving dozens of cruise passengers floundering in the sea.
The boat went down off the coast of the Dominican Republic.
Footage showed people bobbing around in the water – reportedly 55 in all – as the Dominican Navy arrived to rescue them.
Seamen were seen tossing life rings to the stricken passengers before hauling them to safety.
Only the light blue tip of the boat could be seen poking above the surface, with the rest of the vessel submerged beneath the water.
Boca de Yuma – a 40ft catamaran – had been taking the group on a sightseeing day trip after setting off from the port in Embat.
