A POPULAR influencer has been killed instantly in a terrifying motorbike crash after smashing into the back of a lorry in heavy traffic.

María José Calderón, known online as ‘Mayits’, was riding behind the vehicle when the driver allegedly broke sharply while trying to change lanes.

With no time to react, the 23-year-old collided with the lorry, suffering fatal head injuries despite wearing a helmet.

The crash happened around midday last Thursday, near the Monterrey shopping centre in Mexico.

An ambulance arrived quickly, but medics were unable to save her.

Her sudden death has sent shockwaves through the online community.

Fans and fellow creators rushed to social media to pay tribute.

One of the first to speak out was WestCOL, a massively popular Colombian streamer with more than six million followers.

He appeared visibly shaken during a livestream, confirming the devastating news.

“I haven’t been doing very well, she was a very close friend of ours,” he said.

“She was with us at the very beginning, when we were just starting out.”

“It’s very difficult to talk about this, this December has been harder than usual,” he added.

WestCOL also took the moment to address her followers directly.

“Value life, take care of yourselves, it can be gone in the blink of an eye,” he warned.

He urged fans to be respectful and mindful of her family.

The influencer had steadily built up a devoted following on Instagram, with over 45,000 followers.

She was known for her dance routines and her outgoing, energetic personality.

In addition to dancing, she was a keen amateur boxer.

Her athleticism and creativity earned her respect across multiple online communities.

She had shared her latest look with fans in her last Instagram post on December 9.

“I feel pretty today. My friend Mariana made me look beautiful,” she wrote.

Tributes quickly flooded social media, with fans posting messages like “you will always live in my memory” and “much strength to her family.”

Comments reflected the deep impact she had on her followers and friends.

The Fénix Academy of Aerial Techniques, of which she was a member, also paid tribute.

They remembered her as a woman who “felt life with her whole body” and lived with deep, honest dedication.
