Drop in temperature and marked cooling at night. This is the scenario expected for this Thursday, November 20th, when the mainland will be under the influence of a northerly flow and cold air mass.

According to forecasts released by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere, the minimum temperature, starting this Thursday, will be below 5°C in the northeast region of the territory, with values ​​close to 0°C in the highest cities in the interior, and may reach values ​​close to -5°C at the top of Serra da Estrela. There will be frost formation in the northern and central interior regions. The maximum temperature will be around 14°C to 18°C ​​in a large part of the territory, except in the innermost part where it will be between 9°C and 12°C.

For this Thursday, the IPMA predicts slightly cloudy or clear skies, generally being very cloudy in the far north and temporarily increasing in cloudiness between Capes Raso and Carvoeiro. During the afternoon, there should be a temporary increase in cloudiness in the northern and central interior regions.

There is a possibility of light showers in the mountains of the extreme north, which if they occur will be in the form of snow.

There should be a drop in the minimum temperature, more significant in the North and Center interior, and a small drop in the maximum temperature, especially in the North and Center regions. A marked cooling at night is also expected.
