Thursday has arrived, the day of the cultural agenda of the DN Brazil to Lisbon and surrounding areas. Over the next few days, Lisbon will host Alcione on a double night at the Coliseu dos Recreios and in Estoril, with a special screening of the Brazilian film ‘The Secret Agent’ with the presence of actress Isabél Zuaa, and celebrates Black Awareness Day with activities at Casa Capitão and Fábrica Braço de Prata.

Alcione + Aline Abbadia at Coliseu dos Recreios
Marrom is back in Portugal less than a year after her last visit to the country. Alcione opens the tour this Thursday (20), at the Salão Preto e Prata at Cassino Estoril, and heads to Lisbon on Friday (21), when she takes the stage at Coliseu dos Recreios at 9:30 pm. Classics such as “Sufoco”, “A Loba” and “Não Let o Samba Morrer” come back to life in a show that celebrates more than five decades dedicated to Brazilian music.
In Lisbon, the night doesn’t end with Alcione: right after the show, the Coliseu hosts the show “Músicas Negras do Brasil”, with Aline Abbadia. The artist pays tribute to great names in Brazilian black music, from Elza Soares to Liniker, including Tim Maia, IZA and Ludmilla, and releases her new single, I’m going to love myself so I don’t lose myself anymore. A double program that combines emotion, vocal power and celebration of Black Awareness Day.

Special session of The Secret Agent no Cinema Ideal
Cinema Ideal, in Bairro Alto, shows this Saturday (22), at 9:15 pm, a special screening of the film The Secret Agentwith the presence of the actress Isabel Zuaawho talks to the audience after the screening. The participation of the Portuguese actress, with a consolidated career between Brazil and Portugal, deepens the reading of a feature that has already become one of the cinematographic phenomena of the year in Portugal. Sold-out screenings, expanded theaters and growing audiences have marked the film’s trajectory in the country.
Directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, the film follows Marcelo (Wagner Moura), a technology specialist who, in 1977, tries to escape repression and reunite with his son in Recife during Carnival. With Isabél Zuaa, Maria Fernanda Cândido and Gabriel Leone in the cast, the film is Brazil’s bid for the 2026 Oscar and reinforces the good moment of national cinema on Portuguese screens.

Brazilian programming at Fábrica Braço de Prata
Fábrica Braço de Prata once again opens up space for Brazilian musicians and artists in another weekend of intense programming. On Friday (21), at 10pm, Forró Factory takes over the house, bringing together dancers and onlookers in an environment where zabumba, triangle and accordion play all night long.
On Saturday (22), from 4pm, the documentary Goat Marked for Deathby Eduardo Coutinho, gets a special session while Coletivo Gira presents the classic show made up of women multi-instrumentalists who revive samba classics and also give space to the new generation. At 8:30 pm, the group Coco Voador ends the night with northeastern rhythms of marked beats and improvised verses, celebrating Brazilian popular culture.

Program dedicated to Black Awareness Day at Casa Capitão
Not far from Fábrica Braço de Prata, Casa Capitão dedicates the weekend (22nd and 23rd) to Black Awareness Day with meetings that bring Brazil and Africa closer together through cinema, literature, workshops and performances. On Saturday, activities begin at 11am with Baobá Cineclube, followed by Afro-Brazilian tales narrated by Gabriela Lima and a conversation with Banca Dentu Zona.
On Sunday, Gabriela Lima will present stories again at 11am, and writer Danilo Cardoso will lead the “Diário do Agora” workshop between 3pm and 5pm. The closing takes place at 7:30 pm, with “A Voz do Milénio”, a tribute to Elza Soares performed by Àkila (Puta da Silva).
