The United States Secret Service shot a man after midnight this Saturday. man who was armed and that it was near the White House. The president, Donald Trumpwas not at the residence at the time, he was at his home in Florida.
Secret Service officials received a tip Saturday from local authorities that a person may be traveling to Washington from Indiana. The person’s car was later found near the White House, the department said in a statement.
The man, who has not yet been identified, brandished a firearm when officers approached him and shots were fired shortly after midnight, reports Reuters. The agents were unharmed in the intervention.
The Police are investigating the event, as reported by the head of the Secret Service Department, Anthony Guglielmi.

This incident occurs after in July 2024, Trump suffered the first attempted attack in the last twelve months. In this case, the aggressor ended up assaulted by the police forces.
The second occurred in September. The attacker was arrested after pointing a rifle with a precision scope at the US president, hidden in a bush, while Trump was playing golf.
