The US attacks a new boat in the Pacific supposedly linked to drug trafficking and kills two people

The United States Southern Command has been in charge of executing the new mission of the Lanza del Sur plan and has announced the result of the operation on its X account along with a video showing the bombing.

“Intelligence has confirmed that the ship was transiting known drug trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was participating in drug trafficking operations. Two narcoterrorists were killed and one survived the impact,” the army said.

Likewise, he has detailed that he has activated the search and rescue system to locate the survivor.

This is at least the second attack in international waters since January 3, when the United States captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in Caracas, and in total there have been more than 35 attacks of this type against vessels since August 2025.
