Optics, Photonics, and Environmental Science Research Opportunity for Native Americans – Summer 2019

CIAN is the Center for Integrated Access Networks, a ten-university Engineering Research Center (ERC) funded by
NSF. CIAN offers a 10-week summer program designed for undergraduate Native American students interested in
exploring optics and photonics, as well as hydrology and environmental sciences.

A 10-week undergraduate research opportunity taking place at the University of Arizona with the Center for the Integrated Access Networks. The IOU-NA program requires a tribal affiliation or attendance at a tribal college. Application Deadline: December 4, 2017
Acceptance letters will be mailed by February 9, 2018

Undergraduates of all levels with interest in Optics/photonics, Hydrology, Atmospheric Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Soil Sciences are strongly encouraged to apply.

Additional materials required include an official, sealed, transcript from all universities or colleges attended and a letter of reference sealed and signed by the letter writer. This letter may also be emailed directly from the letter writer.

Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
