Resource Guides |
| Citation (Documentation) Style Guides Documentation styles are systems for providing information about sources used in research papers. Documentation styles vary among academic disciplines. The Modern Language Association (MLA) style is often used in the Humanities (English, Theater, Art, Music, etc.). The American Psychological Association (APA) style is recommended in the social sciences (history, sociology, psychology, anthropology, human services, etc.). Chicago and Turabian styles are usually required for natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The American Sociological Association (ASA) citation style is used for sociological research papers. Check with your instructor regarding which style you should use for your research work.
