All Music Guide -- This is "a complete
online database of recorded music." It has a search
engine that allows searching by artist name, album
title, song title, label, and musical style.
Biographies, full discographies and album reviews
are available for artists.
BUBL LINK: Music -- A catalogue of internet
resources. Resources are annotated and sub-divide
into nearly 20 categories, including composers,
opera, sheet music, education and research,
periodicals and magazines, music of specific
periods, etc.
Experience Music Project -- A music
museum combining interactive and interpretive
exhibits that document American popular music.
Online exhibits feature both well known and
underground artists and bands as well as interactive
educational sections which provide instruction on
harmony signing, recording techniques and guitar
playing and more.
Internet Public Library: Music -- Provides over
200 annotated links to music resources on the Web.
Music Resources on the Internet--An excellent
place to begin.
Open
Directory Project: Music -- A portal to music
resources on the internet. Included dozens of
subcategories, including theory, period, charts,
awards, reviews and sound files.
Voice of the Shuttle: Music -- A comprehensive
list of internet resources, organized by period and
geography. Also includes links to journals and zines.
Most of these resources are scholarly.
Yahoo Music Resources--A good all purpose A
to Z resource for music.
