The ATI TEAS® is a requirement for all Connecticut Community Colleges Nursing Program (CT-CCNP) applicants. This computerized test is designed to measure a person’s academic readiness. The test includes four subtests: Math, Reading, English & Science. It will take students 209 minutes (3 hours 29 minutes) maximum to complete the exam. Each student tests at their own pace.

Study guides can be purchased on the ATI website or are available in the TRCC Library at the reference desk.

What is the format of the TEAS® test?

Currently, the TEAS® is a computerized test that includes 170 scored multiple-choice questions divided into four subsections: Mathematics, Reading, Science, and English and Language Usage. Basically, it has four parts that ask you to answer multiple-choice questions covering the following:

·         English and Language Usage – punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, contextual words, and spelling (55 items, 65 minutes)

The cost to take the TEAS® is $25.00.  Payments are made directly to ATI via their website when you register for the test. Debit and credit cards are the only form of payment accepted. NOTE: CCNP does not charge any payment for this test.
