What Can I Do with This Major?
Community Faculty Alumni Employers

The following services are provided through our office free of charge.

· Individual Career Counseling

Contact our office to discuss career exploration and decision making, choosing a major, planning a successful job search campaign and other career concerns. To schedule an appointment, call 860-383-5298, or stop by our office at the Mohegan Campus in the Student Services area.

· Group Career Counseling

We schedule workshops on career development topics on an on-going basis. Watch out for announcement of topics, time and room. You will have the opportunity to share your experience as well as that of others while addressing issues of concern. You will learn from your fellow students' experiences while they learn from your experience as well.

· Career Decision-making

You learn the career decision-making process. Career development is a process of discovering career options, choosing among them and making and implementing a plan to achieve your goals. This process is not a one-time thing. This will evolve over time as you change, your workplace changes and the world of work changes. By learning the process now you can adapt it to your needs throughout your life. Through this process, you learn about what you enjoy, what you value, and what you are good at. You also learn what careers, jobs and employers are a good match for you, the kind of skills, education and experience they require, and to present yourself for opportunities you want.
