The following are some of the services we offer our Alumni:

COUSELING AND INFORMATION

Career Counseling

Individual sessions can be arranged to discuss any career development concerns such as planning a successful job search campaign, developing effective interview skills, developing a winning resume, discovering the hidden job market, networking and other career issues.

Workshops

All workshops offered at the college are open to students, alumni and the community members.

Interest Assessment-Career Guidance Program-Choices Planner

This is a perfect program to use if you are searching for a new career direction. You can use Choices Planner to develop you own personal list of career choices. It assesses your skills, values, interests and activities and develop a list of suitable occupations.
 

    • To access the Interest Assessment CHOICES Planner program, log onto www.bridges.com and use the ID and Password below. First time users will need to create a portfolio. Follow the on-screen instructions to create the portfolio.

From the CHOICES Planner program, you can obtain description of careers, and skills that are required. Information about four year colleges and universities can be accessed also.

Career Resource Centers

You can visit our Career Llibrary to research careers, colleges, current job listings, job search strategies, career planning, and employers.

Publications

Pick up your own copy of Connecticut Career Paths, published by the Connecticut Department of Labor. You will find descriptions, number of job openings, educational requirements and salaries for occupations in Connecticut Careers.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

On Campus Recruiting

Interview sessions are arranged on campus with corporations and agencies for a variety of positions for the fall and spring semesters. All interviews are scheduled through the Office of Career Placement Services on the Mohegan Campus. The rooms are announced as the sessions are arranged. Call or stop in to the Office of Career Placement Services for more information.

Mock Interview

You can schedule an individual appointment to discuss how you can sharpen your interview skills.

Resume Critique

Schedule an individual appointment for resume and cover letter critique. You will receive practical tips on how to transform your resume into an irresistable, powerful, self-marketing document.
