Dear Graduate,

 

Welcome to the Three Rivers Community College Alumni Association’s website! Please take the time to browse through our site and learn more about who we are and what we do.

 

As a graduate of Three Rivers Community College, Mohegan Community College, or Thames Valley State Technical College, you are a part of our family, and we welcome you. We would love to have you take a few minutes to sign our guest book and look at some of the messages already posted by other graduates. It’s always great to hear from fellow alumni, even if it is in a “virtual” setting!

 

When you graduated from Three Rivers Community College or one of its predecessors, you reached a level of education that 2/3 of the population of the United States will not attain (according to the U.S. Census Bureau).  However, statistics alone cannot describe all the hard work and sacrifices that you made in order to reach that milestone. The Three Rivers Community College Alumni Association works to help those who follow you to succeed as you have done.  As stated in our bylaws, one of the association’s purposes is to “promote a spirit of shared interest between the college and alumni.”  One way we achieve this is through bestowing several scholarships and awards to Three Rivers students each year.  Being able to accomplish our goals requires the involvement of graduates like you.

 

You can get involved with the Alumni Association in many ways. We hold several fund-raising events and celebrations throughout the year and you may want to participate in some of these.  We also held our first “All-Classes Reunion” in the fall of 2004. The reunion brought together students from all three colleges, as well as Dr. Paul Rue, the first president of Mohegan Community College, and Dr. Grace Sawyer-Jones, the current president of Three Rivers Community College and the guest speaker for the event.

 

Please, also consider joining the Alumni Association.  By becoming a member and supporting our programs, you will help us to continue helping others like yourself.  This is your chance to give something back to the special community of which you are a part.
