with up to fifteen two-year scholarship awards, each of which includes:

College scholarships of up to $5,000
each are awarded annually to students selected on the basis of school and
community activities, academic achievement, and financial need. The
applicant must reside permanently in one of the counties served by the
Foundation.

Norwich Police Crime Prevention Scholar Award ($500.00 one award)
High school seniors or currently enrolled college students who plan on attending college
in the fall majoring in Criminal Justice should apply. Candidates must be Norwich residents, with a good academic record and active in the community. Candidates are to submit a short essay explaining their reasons for wishing to pursue the Criminal Justice field. Application deadline is Friday, July 18, 2008. Click here for application.

Northern Association of Boating Administrators
This $1,000 award, made possible by the Northern Association of Boating Administrators, goes to a full-time student from the Northern States*, attending a two or four-year college or university. The recipient must be a strong academic performer and have at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The student must be majoring in a recreational boating safety-related field (e.g. law enforcement or criminal justice, natural resources/environmental science, education, public relations/marketing or journalism). *The Northern states are the member states of NABA and include: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin.


The NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program is now being administered by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). It is expected that approximately 20 two-year undergraduate, and 5 three-year graduate scholarships will be awarded annually to students pursuing aeronautical engineering and related fields. Total allocated award amounts are up to $40,000 for undergraduates and up to $125,000 for graduates. These funds will go towards tuition and related costs, as well as to provide paid summer internship opportunities at NASA research center.
