Matthew
P. Hightower, CPA

Professor
Hightower is the Business Department Chair and Accounting Program Coordinator. He has over 21
years of successful business and education experience. After graduating
from Teikyo Post University in 1981, he successfully became a Certified
Public Accountant and joined the international accounting firm of
KPMG Peat Marwick. He left KPMG to start Hightower Cavasino &
Co in 1986, which continues as a successful local accounting firm.
He joined Three Rivers as an adjunct professor in 1986 and accepted
a full-time position in 1990. Additionally, Professor Hightower
is an Investment Advisor Representative and Securities Principle,
successfully completing the NASD Series 24, 7, 63 and 65 examinations.
He also maintains insurance licenses with Life, Accident and Health,
Variable Annuity, and Variable Life authorities. He is a member
of both the Connecticut and American Society of Certified Public
Accountants.

Art
has more than 24 years of successful business and teaching experience.
For 8 years Art worked for a leading national corporation and for
20 years as a college professor at both two and four year colleges.
He has an undergraduate degree from Bryant College
in Accounting and an MBA from Bryant with a concentration in Accounting.
Currently Art is an Associate Professor at Three Rivers Community College.

Irene
has been at Three Rivers in the role of Marketing Program Coordinator
since 1993. She holds an MBA in Marketing Management from St. John's
University, a BA in Economics from SUNY - Queens College and an
AA from SUNY - Queensborough Community College.
Prior to her
position at TRCC, Irene taught at Suffolk Community College, Nassau
Community College and SUNY - Empire State College. She has professional
experience in marketing and retailing and was a marketing research
consultant for McGraw Hill Publishing.

Peter has been
at Three Rivers Community College in the Hospitality Management
program since 1992. He holds a Masters degree in Hospitality Management
from the University of Massachusetts, a Bachelors degree from the
University of New Haven and an Associates degree from Manchester
Community College.
Prior
to his position at Three Rivers, Peter held various Hotel Management
positions with both the Hilton Hotels Corporation and the Sheraton
Corporation.

Larry
has over 30 years of successful business and teaching experience.
For 10 years, Larry worked with a leading multinational corporation
and for 20 years as an individual entrepreneur and teacher. He has
an undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in Marketing
and an MBA from California State University in Operations Research
Techniques. Formally Larry was CEO of Sique.com, an eLearning consulting
and development company. He has been an adjunct Professor at Norwalk
Community College for 10 years and is currently teaching full time
at Three Rivers Community College.

Kent Harding
Kent
has a BS in Physics & Applied Mathematics and an MS degree in
Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from University of
Maryland, and an MBA in Finance and Manufacturing from Harvard
Business School. He has had many years of experience in Engineering
with Westinghouse Defense Research Labs as well as Finance &
Accounting experience with Ortec, Inc., Peat, Marwick & Mitchell
(now KPMG), and F. W. Woolworth Corporation.. More recently, Kent
was President & CEO of Ship Analytics, Inc. and Property Resources,
Inc., as well as President of NU-SYM, Inc. Currently Kent is a full
time Professor with Three Rivers Community College teaching courses
in Accounting and Business Administration. |
