Transplantation Presentation: November 18 Hartford Hospital Director and Surgeon of Transplantation Dr. David Hull will make a presentation on organ transplantation on Wednesday, November 18 from 1-3 PM in room C101 on the Three Rivers Community College campus. His presentation is entitled “Surgical Procedures, Understanding Transplantation, Immunology and Immunosuppression - an Overview.” Dr. Hull will speak about new technologies in the medical field, health care, biotechnology, diabetes/kidney and liver disease, life style changes and other health care related topics. Dr. Hull is renowned for his expertise in transplantation, specifically dealing with surgical procedures with organ donors (live and cadavers) and donor recipients. Throughout his tenure at Hartford Hospital, he has performed more than 1,000 transplantation surgeries. In July 2009, he was honored with the James P. Colangelo, MD Achievement Award from the National Kidney Foundation of Connecticut. The presentation is sponsored by STRONG-CT- Science & Technology Reaching Out to New Generations in Connecticut.
