Writing Resources Do you need to find out how to make a “works cited” page? Did you leave your English 112 textbook at home? Come in and take advantage of our handbooks, dictionaries, and other resources.  You can also link to a wide variety of writing resources from this page.  You can access Diana Hacker's A Writer's Reference used by the Three Rivers Community College English department.  If you need help with documentation, click on the link you would like to explore:  MLA, APA, CBE, or Chicago-style.  We also have a number of pages explaining grammar, giving tips on resumes and cover letters, explaining college admissions essays, and helping you start the research process.  You can also link to a variety of Internet search engines from this page.

E-mail Paper Submissions- Don’t make it to campus every day? Do you do most of your writing at 2 am? If you have a draft that you would like the Writing Center to review, you can submit it as a MS Word attachment or cut and paste it into a regular e-mail. Send it to:

TRWritingCenter@trcc.commnet.edu

Type “WC draft submission” in the topic line. In the body of the message, include your name and Banner ID number, a detailed description of the assignment, and your specific concerns about the paper. We can usually get a reply back to you within 24 hours! Before you submit a paper via e-mail, read this to see if an electronic submission is the best choice for you.  You can also print out a page of e-mail submission instructions for yourself or your class.

Classroom Presentations- Interested faculty and staff can contact the Writing Center Coordinator for assistance in developing course-specific writing assignments, customized in-class presentations, annotated bibliographies covering writing in various disciplines, and editing help with campus-related writing tasks.

TASC Referral- For all non-writing related tutoring, make-up tests, and other learning resources, you can access the Tutoring and Academic Success Center from this page as well.  You can also contact TASC by phone at (860) 892-5713.
